John Torode goes on an incredible journey to track down the best food in the Middle East hunting down the most inspiring local cooks and discovering the distinctive flavours of each country's cuisine. Cooking on location with local chefs, each episode sees John recreate three sumptuous dishes.

E1 Cairo 2018-11-19 · 30 min John is in the largest city in the Middle East and the street food capital of Egypt. John hits the busy city streets to explore the flavours of Cairo and get inspiration for a dish of his own. John takes a street food tour, is welcomed in to a family home to help his host stuff pigeons and learns the secret of one of his favourite recipes, falafel. With all the sights and sounds and flavours of Cairo still fresh in his mind John cooks up a Middle eastern Classic, Kofta, in front of the pyramids.

E9 Bahrain 2018-11-29 · 30 min John joins local chef and restaurateur Narise for a tour of a food market, prepares breads in a kebab shop and creates a dish using spiced minced lamb.
