Quieting the Food Noise: A GLP-1 Diary with Sarah
Sarah
What happens when the voice in your head that’s always thinking about food starts to get quieter? Quieting the Food Noise is my real-time GLP-1 diary. I’m Sarah, and after years of emotional eating, food noise, and my weight going up and down, I started to realize something: eating was never the hard part. Stopping was. Knowing when I was full was hard. Feeling satisfied was hard. My brain didn’t seem to have the same built-in “okay, that’s enough” signal that other people seemed to have. And fighting your own brain around food gets exhausting. So I decided to try a GLP-1. (Ozempic) And I decided to document what happens next. This isn’t a weight-loss masterclass or a perfectly packaged before-and-after story. I’m still in the before. I don’t know how this ends. Each week, I’m sitting down and telling you what actually happened — the side effects, the weight changes, the moments I suddenly realize I’m full, the times the food noise comes creeping back, the things that surprise me, and the weird little changes I never would have thought to look for. Some weeks might be exciting. Some might be disappointing. Some might get weird. I’m holding the flashlight and taking you with me, but I don’t know what’s around the corner either. No pretending. No perfect journey. No promises about where this is going. Just one woman documenting the good, the bad and the unexpected of trying to quiet the food noise. ***** Subscribe to my Substack to get behind the scenes content, additional footage and more https://quietingthefoodnoise.substack.com/ ***** Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, medical professional, dietitian, or healthcare provider.
